It has already been over thirty years since I first began molding clay, going back and forth from Korea and the States. Even though the style and technique of my work has changed over the years, my heart for ceramics is still the same. That is, ceramics are pottery, and pottery is meant to be used. I have used clay and ceramics as the core of my fine art pieces as well, and know that ceramics can be a marvelous medium for art. But I do believe that it is when my pieces are used as functional items in the home and kitchen that they live up to their purpose and shine most brightly. The pottery you see here are all items we use at our cafe or are on display in our gallery. I hope that you get a chance to stop by our shop to see, touch and use the pieces for yourself.
